Pre-Hire Benefits

All housestaff are provided employer-paid health, life and long-term disability insurance that becomes effective on their date of hire. Per ACGME guidelines, all housestaff will be provided information pertaining to health and disability insurance that is available for the period of time they are required to arrive prior to their official start date (orientation, etc). Participation in any of the plans that are only effective prior to a resident’s start date are employee-paid, but are completely optional.
