The College of Medicine provides clinical faculty, appointed at 0.5 FTE and higher, GatorCare Health Insurance (for themselves and spouse/domestic partner and children up to age 26) and a basic level of Life Insurance. Those appointed at 0.75 FTE and higher receive a higher level of Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance as well. These plans are provided at no bi-weekly cost to the employee, as the premiums are employer-paid. Each of these plans begins on the employee’s date of hire. Clinical faculty members also receive The Standard Travel Assistance Plan, as an add-on benefit to their life insurance policy.
