Special Pay Increase or Reclassification with Pay Increase Requests for TEAMS Employees

Departments should submit the following information to the listserv COMFS-SPI-RCL@comfs.ufl.edu

Do not send this form directly to HRS, as it will only delay the approval process.

 

Special Pay Requests for Additional Duties

  • A completed UF TEAMS and USPS Special Pay Increase Request Form. Please specify who previously performed these duties. If the duties are new to the department, please indicate this.
  • Updated position description with “tracked” changes (using a WORD document)

 

Special Pay Requests for Market Equity

 

Special Pay Requests for Counter Offer

  • A completed UF TEAMS and USPS Special Pay Increase Request Form Please include the details regarding the offer such as salary, title/rank, name of employer, etc.
  • Attach the letter of offer the employee received (i.e., offer letter, email, etc.) Please note: an employer reaching out to an employee asking if the employee is interested in discussing employment is not an employment offer
** The College of Medicine does not permit counter-offers for TEAMS/USPS employees being considered for an intra-college lateral, reassignment or promotion opportunity.

 

Special Pay Requests for Temporary Additional Duties

  •   A completed UF TEAMS and USPS Special Pay Increase Request Form detailing the additional duties being taken on, who previously performed the duties, and the reason the duties are temporarily being assigned to this employee. Please include the estimated beginning and end date for the temporary assignment.

 

Reclassification with Pay Increase

  • A completed UF TEAMS and USPS Special Pay Increase Request Form. Check the box “Additional Duties.” Please indicate that this is a Reclassification with a Pay Increase. Also, specify who previously performed these duties. If the duties are new to the department, please indicate this.
  • Updated position description with “tracked” changes (using a WORD document)
  • Indicate in the email how long the employee has been performing additional duties. (UF requires a minimum of 6 months before the reclassification will be considered)
  • List a comparison of the incumbent’s highest education level & years of experience to the minimum requirements of the new position
