The University of Florida College of Medicine is a premier institution within UF Health, dedicated to advancing healthcare through education, research, clinical care, and service under the leadership of Dean Jennifer Hunt. Since its founding in 1956, the College has excelled in healthcare innovation, offering comprehensive programs across medical training, graduate studies, and joint M.D./Ph.D. degrees, alongside the School of Physician Assistant Studies.

The Finance and Administration Office serves as the cornerstone of financial management and operational oversight, supporting the College’s mission by allocating resources across over 29 clinical and foundational science departments, 30 dean’s office divisions, and five research centers. With a focus on efficiency and fiscal responsibility, our office plays a vital role in sustaining excellence in education, research, and patient care. Through the collaborative efforts of our faculty and staff, who lead in fields such as neuroscience, cancer, genetics, and AI-enhanced healthcare, we ensure access to top-quality care for communities throughout Florida and beyond.

Internship

The UFCOM Administrative Internship Program is a full-time, paid role for three months, with an opportunity to transition to part-time. This program provides promising early careerists with practical, firsthand experience, allowing them to explore and understand different career paths within health administration. To be considered, candidates must be enrolled in a master’s or doctorate-level program in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, Nursing Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, Management, or a related field.

Fellowship

The UFCOM Finance & Administration Fellowship Program is a 2-year, full-time, paid role that provides hands-on experience and professional mentorship. To be considered for this program, candidates are required to possess a master’s degree in one of the following fields: Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, Nursing Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, Management, or an equivalent program.
